Step 1:
Cocaine use causes an extreme decrease in appetite to the point of not eating anything for days. Monitor what and when your child is eating when home.
Step 2:
Cocaine use causes a surge in energy. A cocaine user will constantly be moving about, even when he/she is supposed to be sleeping.
Step 3:
Due to a lack of appetite associated with cocaine use, a sudden and sharp weight lose will occur.
Step 4:
Look for signs of paranoia. Most cocaine users are paranoid about the police being around or by their friends knowing about their addiction.
Step 5:
Physical signs of cocaine use include dilated pupils, dry mouth and a very dry nose. Cocaine users will continuously wipe their nose, thinking it is runny, but is actually dry inside. Another sign is irritability and an unreasonable perception of reality.
Step 6:
If any of the above "symptoms" pertain to your child, contact your doctor immediately and seek help.
